About the role

Due to continual growth we are looking for an experienced Software Project Manager to manage key projects.  In this unique position you will be responsible for Managing activities in the core area of product development of niche products. This will involve creating and maintaining Product roadmaps and release plans along with liaising with Major clients to understand requirements and deliver key solutions within the specific timescale.

Project management responsibilities include delivering every project on time within budget and scope.  You should have a background in business skills, management, budgeting and analysis.  Working on software development (Web, Mobile and Desktop), Data Migration and Business Intelligence Reporting. 

 

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities 

  • Support account management team in planning new project delivery
  • Assisting account management team to provide scope and cost of projects to external clients
  • Creating and maintaining project plans
  • Defining, allocating and managing project actions to ensure delivery
  • Ensuring projects deliver to scope agreed and challenging any scope creep
  • Escalating issues to project sponsor and CHS senior management where required
  • Chairing applicable meetings including with clients
  • Responding to internal and external queries regarding projects
  • Maintaining suitable project portfolio logs to inform senior management of current progress
  • Responding to regulatory queries from external bodies within the scope of CHS systems
  • Ensuring L1 support is kept informed regarding change initiatives across systems
  • Providing status updates to internal and external stakeholders regarding project progress
  • Assisting in alignment of resources to projects
  • Management and development of project delivery team

 

What sort of person are we looking for?

  • Project lifecycle, including documentation
  • Software Development Life Cycle
  • Strong IT skills
  • Risk management skills
  • Knowledge of CHC / FNC and CCG practices
  • Good knowledge of Information Governance and aligned requirements
  • Knowledge of generic IT practices

 

Qualifications and Key Skills Required 

  • 5+ years of experience of project management
  • Able to communicate with senior stakeholders, internal and external
  • Good presentation skills
  • Confident communicating with large groups of people at different levels
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to summarise data effectively and succinctly
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to challenge internally and externally
  • Diplomacy
  • Able to demonstrate impartiality
  • Ability to persuade others (internal and external) of alternative viewpoint
