Carehome Selection has recently provided support to Bromley PCT by using trained nursing staff to carry out Continuing Healthcare Assessments for a range of out-of-area patients whose needs had been due for review. These patients were receiving care in services in different locations throughout England.
Outsourcing work of this type is a very cost effective and timely way of PCTs fulfilling these tasks without using existing resources.
The flexibility of the Carehome Selection staff means requests can be responded to quickly, thus ensuring that the needs of the PCT were met in a timely way and patients and their relatives were not unduly inconvenienced.
