Irene and Harry Dawes with Etain O'Shea
- You will be allocated your own Carehome Selection Adviser. Our advisers are trained in every aspect of providing the information you need in order to choose a care home and usually come from a nursing, health or care background.
- Your Adviser may meet you at the location you choose. You may wish to meet them in your own home, hospital or in our offices. Our Advisers work flexibly and are available during the evenings and weekends to ensure that meetings take place at a convenient time.
- The Adviser will discuss your individual needs and carry out a search for suitable homes within your area. Carehome Selection holds detailed portfolios on more than 2,000 care homes with information about the type of care they provide, photographs and the meals they serve. Carehome Selection checks bed availability on a weekly basis so we can give you accurate and up-to-date information, along with the support you need with all the arrangements for the care of your loved one.
- We do not recommend individual care homes. We provide you with all the information you need in order to make comparisons between different care homes and make an informed choice about the best home for you or your relative.
- Our independence is based on the way we are funded. Homes do not pay to register with us, but pay a percentage of the first year’s fees for any client who is placed with them. This percentage is exactly the same for all care homes to ensure all are treated equally.
- The Adviser will call the suitable homes for you and arrange visits. The Adviser may accompany you on visits and ensure that all your questions are answered.
- Once you have chosen a care home, the Adviser may assist you with all the necessary paperwork and arrangements.
